This session explores how population projections are built, how assumptions on fertility, mortality, and migration shape different scenarios, and how advanced modelling techniques help capture complex demographic dynamics. Through concrete examples, it also demonstrates how these projections can be interpreted and used to better understand demographic futures and support evidence-based planning and policy decisions.

The lecture will be conducted via Zoom in the classroom.
