This lecture brings together global and local evidence to show how education hub strategies—built on diversified, stackable pathways; applied learning; and deep industry-school partnerships—unleash Hong Kong’s potential to function as a talent engine, allowing the younger generation to flourish. By removing institutional barriers, aligning with growth sectors, and providing infrastructure support, Hong Kong can attract and retain global talent, reduce skills mismatch, and strengthen economic security—key drivers of settlement and family formation. Cases from global economies will inform actionable options for Hong Kong’s next steps.
