Professor Vivian Lou Receives Social Sciences Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award
The Faculty of Social Sciences is pleased to announce that Professor Vivian Lou from the Department of Social Work and Social Administration has received the Social Sciences Outstanding Research Student Supervisor Award.
A distinguished scholar and long‑standing academic leader in the Faculty, Professor Lou is recognised for her outstanding record of research supervision and mentorship. Through her commitment to fostering independent scholarship, maintaining high academic standards, and providing constructive guidance, she has cultivated an inclusive and collaborative research environment.
Under her supervision, students have achieved substantial scholarly success, including high‑quality publications, conference presentations, competitive grants, and prestigious awards. Many of her graduates have gone on to hold leadership and scholarly positions in academia, research, and public service locally and internationally.
