Class of 2026: Empowered to Lead, Inspired to Serve




The Faculty of Social Sciences proudly celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026 at the 217th Congregation.
Surrounded by family, friends and faculty members, graduates marked an important milestone after years of hard work, perseverance and growth. Their time at HKU Social Sciences has equipped them with the knowledge, critical thinking skills and compassion needed to address complex challenges and contribute meaningfully to society.
The Faculty was honoured to welcome three distinguished Guests of Honour across the Congregation sessions: Mr. Ricky Wong, MH, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Wheelock Properties Limited; Mr. Ray Chan, CEO of MemeStrategy and Co-Founder of 9GAG; and Ms. Winnie Ng, JP, Director of The Kowloon Motor Bus Company Limited. Through their addresses, graduates were encouraged to embrace change with confidence, remain open to new perspectives, and lead with resilience, purpose and compassion as they navigate an increasingly complex world.
