Celebrating the Class of 2025: A Journey of Achievement and New Beginnings

On July 18, we proudly commemorated a momentous milestone – the 214th Congregation – honouring the remarkable journey of our graduating Class of 2025. This distinguished ceremony celebrated not only their academic success but also the dedication, perseverance, and resilience that our graduates have demonstrated throughout their studies.

The ceremony was presided over by Professor Jay Siegel, Vice President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), and featured a heartfelt Address delivered by our Dean, Professor Ming Wen, who congratulated the graduates while reflecting on their accomplishments and future potential.

We were deeply honored this year to welcome Professor The Hon Cheung Kin-chung, Matthew GBM, GBS, JP, Former Chief Secretary for Administration (2017-2021) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, as our guest of honor. Professor Cheung delivered an inspiring speech to our graduates, offering valuable insights and encouragement as they embark on their new journeys. (Full Speech)

This Summer Congregation, which conferred degrees upon over 580 candidates, marked a significant milestone – the culmination of years of hard work and the dawn of exciting new opportunities. Our graduates built a solid foundation, exemplifying commitment and determination that will propel them toward future success.

As new members of our vibrant “Socientist” community – a space fueled by curiosity, innovation, and leadership – they are poised to make meaningful contributions to society and beyond. Their passion inspires us all, and we are confident they will continue to shape a brighter tomorrow.

Congratulations, Class of 2025! We look forward to celebrating your future achievements and the positive impact you will make on the world.
