Congratulations to Professor Masato Kajimoto on being appointed as a Fellow of the World Economic Forum’s Network of Global Future Councils (GFCs) on Information Integrity for the 2025-26 council term!
The GFCs represent the foremost global multistakeholder and interdisciplinary knowledge network dedicated to generating insights into both cutting-edge subjects and established systems, exploring how these topics impact global challenges. The 2025-26 term is composed by 36 thematic councils, convening over 700 experts from academia, business, government, civil society, and international organisations, operating as a time-bound think tank to identify and disseminate transformative ideas with the potential for positive global impact.
Professor Kajimoto is a Professor of Practice at the Journalism and Media Studies Centre. He specialises in news literacy education, fact-checking practices, and misinformation ecosystem research in Asia. His upcoming focus will address the crisis of disinformation and misinformation and its future threats to information integrity.
