What a wonderful afternoon of connection and relaxation! As the busy exam season approaches, it was truly heart-warming to see 52 members of our Faculty of Social Sciences family—34 students and 18 staff—come together to unwind at our recent “Paws & Pause” wellbeing event.

Thanks to the wonderful support of the Hong Kong Animal Assisted Therapy Association (HKAATA), we welcomed four incredible therapy dogs and their handlers to our campus. To ensure a peaceful environment, participants gathered in cozy, intimate groups of four, enjoying 15 dedicated minutes of pure puppy joy.
The feedback we received was incredibly moving. Whether you were practicing fun tricks, giving out nibbles, or simply sitting quietly alongside a resting dog, the experience was profoundly therapeutic. Many participants shared that even the simplest sensory comforts—the soothing scent of fur and the gentle, healing kisses—helped completely melt away academic stress and work-related worries.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who dropped by to share in this joyful escape. Let’s continue to support one another, prioritize our mental wellbeing, and remember to pause when we need it most. Stay tuned for more uplifting community events!
