The speakers will present valuable insights gained from their career experiences within various philanthropic organizations in Hong Kong and share their job roles at the Hong Kong Jockey Club regarding external affairs and communications efforts related to diverse grant-making initiatives.
Ms. Carrie Pau
Carmen graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics and later earned a Master of Social Work. In her early career, she focused on developing intergenerational practices in Hong Kong and gained extensive experience working with retirees, implementing various active ageing programmes. She took on the role of person-in-charge at a District Elderly Community Centre, overseeing a range of subvented services to support elderly in the southern district at the Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association.
Later, Carmen expanded her expertise into primary healthcare initiatives, developing community pharmacy services and contributing to the establishment of district health center. In 2021, she joined the Hong Kong Jockey Club as a Charities Manager, where she managed the trust-funded project JC JoyAge: Jockey Club Holistic Support Project for Elderly Mental Wellness for two years and currently supporting grant-making initiatives focused on positive aging and elderly care.
Ms. Quiteria Leung
Quiteria is a nonprofit and cultural advocate with over 9 years of experience in nonprofit management, government liaison, and strategic project development. Currently, she serves as Manager of Mainland Affairs at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, project-managing initiatives like the development of national equestrian and veterinary centers.
As co-founder of the Jazz Society, Quiteria has launched impactful cultural projects and produced performances at the East Kowloon Cultural Centre and the Hong Kong City Hall.
Quiteria holds a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Hong Kong and a Master of Arts in Comparative and Public History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
