Social Sciences TPg Programmes Supporting Hong Kong’s Strategic Development with FTSS

The Faculty of Social Sciences is proud to announce that, commencing from the 2025-26 academic year, four of our self-financing Taught Postgraduate (TPg) programmes have been selected for the Hong Kong Future Talents Scholarship Scheme for Advanced Studies (FTSS). This new initiative, introduced by the HKSAR Government, supports local students pursuing further studies in disciplines deemed strategically important to the long-term development of Hong Kong.

In the face of keen competition from a host of esteemed programmes across various specialisms, the selection of our programmes stands as a strong testament to their enduring excellence and relevance. It also attests to our commitment to advancing the priority areas identified by FTSS, namely “Healthy Living and Caring Community” and “Sustainable City and Regional Development”.

The following programmes are eligible for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 intakes:

Master of Expressive Arts Therapy
Master of Social Sciences in the field of Counselling
Master of Social Sciences in the field of Sustainability Leadership and Governance
Master of Social Work

We are honoured by this recognition, which affirms the quality and impact of our offerings in nurturing future leaders dedicated to social well-being and sustainability. The Faculty remains committed to offering continuing education opportunities that enhance students’ expertise, practical skills, and professional networks while contributing to Hong Kong’s strategic growth.
