Professor Paul Yip, Director of the HKJC Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention, Chair Professor in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, and Associate Dean (Knowledge Exchange and Development), has been ranked 1st in China and 49th globally in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. His groundbreaking research continues to influence policies and practices aimed at mental health and social wellbeing.
Professor Peng Gong, Chair Professor of Global Sustainability and Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, has achieved a remarkable 4th in China and 65th globally in Environmental Sciences. His pioneering work in sustainability is shaping innovative approaches to global environmental challenges.
These prestigious rankings are based on the scientist’s D-index (Discipline H-index), a metric that considers publication and citation impact within their respective fields. The rankings are presented by the international academic platform Research.com in its 2025 rankings.
