The Faculty of Social Sciences is dedicated to facilitating our students’ transition to their professional pursuits upon graduation. In Semester 2, a series of practical workshops have been arranged to promote the employability of our graduating students from undergraduate and taught postgraduate curricula.
Recognising the extensive career support services provided by CEDARS, which may be underutilised by some of our students, the Faculty partnered with CEDARS to organise an exclusive briefing session for our graduating students. This session addressed their pressing needs for career support before graduation and showcased the latest employment landscape for social sciences students.
To enhance job readiness, two upskilling workshops were arranged in March, covering topics on crafting a standout CV and cover letter, as well as essential interview skills. “The most valuable takeaway is receiving professional advice from an employer’s perspective,” shared by a student after attending the workshop. The Faculty is committed to nurturing future-ready talents within and beyond their studies. Stay tuned for further updates on the career development workshops scheduled for April!
