The Faculty of Social Sciences officially launched the inaugural FOSS Mentorship Programme 2024-2025 on January 22, 2025 (Wednesday), bringing together dedicated alumni with eager students to foster growth and connections within the social sciences community. The evening featured an inspiring panel discussion titled “Journey Together: A Mentorship Panel Discussion” by Professor Paul Yip, Associate Dean (Knowledge Exchange and Development) and Ms. Kelena Poon (Alumnus of the Faculty of Social Sciences), sharing mentorship tips and expectations. As highlighted by Professor Paul Yip, mentorship involves providing guidance, support and experience sharing. Furthermore, Ms Kelena Poon, also a mentor of the inaugural FOSS Mentorship Programme, expressed her gratitude for being able to give back to the alma mater and emphasized the importance of mentees being proactive, responsive, and striving to build lifelong friendships with their mentors. The ceremony concluded with a vibrant networking reception, sparking meaningful conversations.
