Unlock the secrets of effective and successful academic writing including:
– Uncovering how instructors spot “A” grade papers
– Making the most of AI for research, organisation and editing
– Discovering the 3-step method for better organisation and style
– Avoiding writing mistakes and plagiarism that lower your grade

The Course is taught by Dr. John Young, former Deputy Director of HKU’s Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC). His students work for international media organisations including the Wall Street Journal, CNN, Reuters, Bloomberg News, The South China Morning Post and The New York Times. He is a graduate of Stanford Law School and has studied and taught at the Law Department of Peking University as well as here at HKU. He currently teaches courses on American News Media and Foreign Policy in HKU’s American Studies Department.
