Social media is now awash with misinformation as malicious actors spread misinformation, hate speech, or scam links by manipulating a huge number of accounts (the “bots”). Understanding these attacker’s characteristics and strengthening detection are important for those engaged in network security work and research. In this seminar, Dr Chen Zhouhan will share relevant detection methods and tools, including the Information Tracer developed by his team, to strengthen the ability to collect, analyze and crack detrimental information on the Internet.
