Connecting Campuses: Students and Faculty Welcome Secondary School Career Masters

On 5 June 2026, the Faculty was pleased to welcome more than 20 Career Masters and Mistresses from leading local secondary schools to HKU for a Tea Gathering.

The event commenced with an introduction by Professor Samson Tse, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Education), who shared the latest updates on the Faculty’s Bachelor’s degree admissions. He highlighted the distinctive features of the Bachelor of Social Sciences programme, including its diverse range of majors, programme flexibility and faculty-arranged internship opportunities.

Professor Tse also introduced the expected admission score for the Faculty’s Bachelor’s programmes. For the Bachelor of Social Sciences programme, the expected admission score has been set at 24 (Best 5 Subjects).

The gathering also featured a presentation by Professor Cheryl Chui, Assistant Dean (Student Enrichment), who shared how the Faculty supports students in pursuing social entrepreneurship and encourages them to translate innovative ideas into practice.

Following the presentations, participants joined a networking session where they had the opportunity to engage with Faculty representatives and student ambassadors. Through these conversations, teachers gained first-hand insights into the learning experience and opportunities available at the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The Faculty greatly appreciates the support and participation of all Career Masters and Mistresses. The gathering provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections with secondary schools and share updates on the Faculty’s programmes and student development initiatives.
