Alumni Get Together in Wellness

Alumni Get Together in Wellness

In May, our alumni community came together for a series of activities that embodied more than just reunion and networking. These gatherings were designed with a clear aim: to support alumni at every life stage, offer diverse ways to stay connected, and promote wellness as a shared value in our community. From energetic pickleball rallies to quiet moments behind the camera lens, each activity helped deepen relationships and foster a culture of well-being.

Pickleball Meet & Connect

One of the highlights of the month was a lively pickleball event that brought together alumni with a wide range of experience—some seasoned players, others picking up a paddle for the very first time.

The session introduced basic skills and game rules, while also offering time for friendly matches and informal coaching between participants. More than a sports session, the event became a space to enjoy movement and physical wellness in a relaxed setting, reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. Alumni left not only with new skills, but also with a renewed appreciation for how recreational activities can support both health and community.

Mindful Photography

In contrast to the energy of the pickleball court, the Mindful Photography Workshop offered a quieter, reflective space to explore wellness from the inside out.

Participants were invited to slow down and look at everyday life with fresh eyes. Using the camera as a tool for awareness, the workshop encouraged alumni to move beyond habitual seeing, labelling, and judgment. Instead, they practised, attending to the present moment through the lens, observing how perception shapes experience. The workshop showed how simple practices can be woven into everyday routines to support mental and emotional well-being.

Wellness, connection, and community are not one-time events; they are ongoing practices. With strong faculty engagement and a passionate alumni network, we look forward to building an even more vibrant and supportive alumni community in the months and years to come.
