These effects \u2013 not to mention the impact of Chinese criminal gangs and tourists \u2013 are documented in a book by Professor Han Enze, Associate Professor of the Department of Politics and Public Administration, titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/global.oup.com\/academic\/product\/the-ripple-effect-9780197696583?cc=hk&amp;lang=en&amp;\"><em>The Ripple Effect: China&#8217;s Complex Presence in Southeast Asia<\/em><\/a>&#8220;.
