My research focuses on leveraging advanced satellite imagery and deep learning techniques to construct a comprehensive energy plants dataset and analyze two decades of energy transition in the Greater Bay Area. Through this work, I aim to uncover critical insights into regional energy trends while providing valuable perspectives for shaping sustainable energy policies. I am thrilled that this award recognizes the impact and importance of these efforts<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>I am deeply grateful for the invaluable guidance and support from my supervisor, Professor Peng Gong, the Department of Geography, and the Faculty of Social Science. This award reflects not only the high standards of research at HKU but also the Faculty\u2019s commitment to nurturing students and fostering impactful academic contributions.
