社會科學碩士（心理健康）課程的目標，是協助有志或已投身醫療及社會服務的專業人士，或在各自領域中擔任行政及／或臨床督導職位，例如醫生、護士、社工、心理學家、輔導員、精神科醫生、營養師、職業治療師、物理治療師、言語治療師、中醫師，以及對心理健康議題及實踐有興趣的其他輔助及替代醫療從業員，發展成為具備所需知識和技能的臨床實務人員。
